The clarifications:
1. I worship Amitabh Bachchan
2. I have seen the original Don( now that I need to clarify the versions) 3 times
3. I think his films CANNOT be remade
4. I think Shahrukh can only overact.
5. Priyanka as Zeenat, yeah right!
Now, keeping in mind the above mentioned points I love Don, the new one. Go watch it!!Total masala, total paisa vasool!

For a change, SRK did NOT overact, please stop looking at him with ur prejudiced eyes... On second thoughts, shouldnt blame the eyes, after all they did watch old Don 3 times!!!!

had similar thoughts but then don can nvr b "realistic cinema"...its larger than life. As for SRK, creditable that he stuck to his style than imitate.And for once his over acting was actually demanded.

I have read this blog’s post a few times and this is the first time I am writing anything here (it might be important to say). Despite my 1-bytes/sec broadband connection today I am supposed to write a few words as this topic has brought me into nostalgia. Just by looking at the map I can guess many friends from CUSAT will admire the old classmate. Recently I had been in Cochin and went to our old classrooms but many things felt foreign to me. It bought the memories as early as the first days in kochi. It was really difficult to review. ‘Jagah to wohi thi par log badal gaye.’ I cannot boast of my infallible intuition, as previews had even been more difficult. After seeing versions of ‘Don’ I am in an opinion that exact replica is neither feasible nor required. Most of the sequels and remakes are the second best compromise between the ideal and the possible.
However I might add, Dhivya touched many topics from diverse areas but some of them were really touching.
