Akshardham, Delhi

On her 23rd birthday, my bachpan ka dost Vibhuti packed us all in her car and took us to Akshardham. We were supposed to drop our greetings to the good Lord above and then what else party. Palak and I actually skipped our breakfast to fully enjoy our lunch. We entered the temple at 1 pm..we came out at 5.30! Obviously me and Palak were rather disturbed while shooting our arrow prayers by certain rumblings in the tummy region.
So on a day you are particularly feeling pious, this is the place to go. Architecture is spellbinding and they have 3 bhavans( Sahajanand Pradarshan,Nilkanth Kalyan Yatra, Sanskruti Vihar) to visit which will take 2.45 hours according to the ticket, and in reality much more. The rush is seen to be believed. They also do not allow cameras, cellphones or handbags even. Here are some pics I found on the net.

there are 181 cow faces each representing a name of Vishnu

Hi divya,

I remember u very well, esp. pagalguy post where someone addressed you as dude ;)

I see that you are having a rocking time at NITIE. At least, u did persist with your blogging..thats good thing.

In my case, i sorta lost out on my old habit completely. Not that we mug all the time, but lotz happening around tht i find lil time to blog these days. Life at IIMB can be summed up in one word - Hectic, as is the case with any other B School.

And summers, I am heading for ABN AMRO, Mumbai. Where did you get your summers ?
